The injection of botulinum toxin temporarily stops the contraction of certain facial muscles (muscles of the forehead, eyelid muscles etc). The toxin’s action can treat wrinkles situated facing these muscles in the forehead or crow’s feet wrinkles. The action of the toxin lasts for between 4 and 6 months.
